摘要 | A New Curriculum Guideline for the Twelve-year National Basic Education was enacted recently and will be implemented since the year of 2018. Along with the trend of Taiwan’s democratic development, how to design appropriate learning opportunities for preparing students’ active citizenship based on the new curriculum guidelines is a main challenge of Taiwan’s future. This paper proposes a civic action approach of curriculum design model (CAA Model) which based mainly on the “Reflective Praxis” approach of Democracy Education. Some exemplary CAA programs which have been implemented in elementary schools are introduced for future reference. Especially the program, “Love, Lights up the world” is depicted more concretely, including the framework and content of it. Also the ideas of design thinking and social design will be applied to the CAA model to broaden the future perspectives of school curriculum. Three kinds of predicaments raised most while promoting the CAA programs in the elementary schools were discussed. Six alternative strategies for dealing with the predicaments are recommended based on the experience from the past decade. |
